People have long used leisure and experiences to help them escape from the pressure of everyday life.

However, with goods and services being at their peak of commodification, our post-industrial society is moving away from the physical production of material goods to the harnessing of lived experience as a primary economic value.

As we become more and more spoiled by the progression of physical goods, we seek experiences and dramatic interaction as a new life pursuit.
